Indiana University boasts eight campuses, and you'll often find the Bloomington campus on lists of the nation's best higher learning institutions. On all eight campuses combined, there are nearly 100,000 students, and the school's annual operating budget is $2.2 billion! IU Bloomington is considered a top comprehensive research institute and attracts the most desirable faculty. In the IU system, you can find just about any major you might be seeking, and your choice will determine your campus location.
For those who prefer a private college, be sure to check out DePauw University. Founded by the United Methodist Church, DePauw is consistently ranked in the top tier of the nation's liberal arts colleges. The university's School of Music has graduated a number of leaders in the field. This selective school of about 2,500 students is located in Greencastle, about an hour west of Indianapolis.
